Succulents
The first step to this process was to get mason jars.
I choose this as my Biology project because how much plants interest me. The reason why plants interest me is because there are so many ideas and ways you can have a plant look or displayed and, succulents are the plants that can make that happen. The other reason why is because plants relate to us as humans very often and they are apart of our everyday life. I've not only learned some more wood working skills during this but also a lot about succulents as a whole. For example the number one thing about succulents that interest me is how they store their water. Since succulents are from dry places and require very little maintenance these plants store their water in their leaves and using it when they need it. This is something just like a cactus would do because, they are part of the same family. To learn more about Succulents you can refer to my info graphic with more information.
Step two was to add rocks for a unique look for your wall planters.
After rocks were put into the mason jar the next step was to carefully add the correct amount of soil for your plant.
Sanding the piece of wood to get a nice coat of paint on.
The last step to making these planters was inserting the acuall succulant in.
The Band Saw was used to round the corners for a more diverse look.
After painting and installing the mason jars to the board you are now ready to hang them to the wall.
