The House On Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros is about a young girl named Esperanza who faces problems that our in our world today. For example racism poverty and community issues. Another part of the book shows how Esperanza changes by being influenced with the people she meets along the way that male her who she is now. This book did not really interest me allot because it seemed a little confusing and wasn't really catching for me.

The Absolutely True Diary Of A Part Time Indian by Sherman Alexie is about a boy named Junior who is from an Indian reservation and wants to leave the reservation and go somewhere else to a new school outside of school. During the book is talks about his life and he things he goes through from making friends and how he was raised. I really liked this book because it was interesting to read and something new was always happening in every chapter.

The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein is a story about a man named Denny and his family. One of the main characters of the book is Enzo, Denny's dog. The book is told from his perspective and you learn a lot about the different characters through the eyes of a dog. The book talks about all of the different challenges that Denny and his family face throughout the book. I liked this book because it taught the audience a lot of lessons about love, family, and staying strong through hard times.
